What This Website Collects
ECHO collects as little as possible. The website never asks for personal information it does not need.
To understand how the site is used, ECHO counts visits with Umami Cloud, a privacy-conscious analytics service. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records details such as the pages viewed, the site that linked you here, your type of device, browser and country, and a few actions on the site, such as which Participation Pathway was chosen and how far down a page you scrolled. These records never contain form contents or personal information.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser, in order to deliver the page.
If you email or phone ECHO, your contact details are used only to reply.
When You Take Part Through a Pathway
Studies, audits and Report an Issue run through forms hosted outside this website, or through direct messages and email. Before you leave this site, a consent screen explains how your response is handled and names the service that runs the form.

Anonymity is guaranteed whenever you request it, and identities are protected through secure data protocols. This submission is recorded as Reported, or as part of the named study or audit, and will move through ECHO's verification process before it can inform any published finding or public score. Submission does not guarantee that ECHO can resolve an individual concern.

Content may be published publicly to raise awareness, only with the student's consent and after thorough vetting.
Sensitive reports are shared only with trusted authorities, such as the Student Union or school management, to trigger appropriate action.
When necessary, ECHO members may request additional evidence or eyewitness accounts to substantiate reports.
All members adhere to strict confidentiality agreements to protect the privacy and safety of contributors.
